Monomethylamine、Dimethylamine、Trimethylamine
These compounds are produced with methanol and ammonia as the raw materials, using the proprietary technologies that we have accumulated over many years.
All three methylamine species are gaseous at normal temperature, have ammonia-like odors, are inflammable, and are readily soluble in water. Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Trading, Inc., sells all three methylamines both in the anhydrous forms and as aqueous solutions.

Stability, reactivity | Stable under normal conditions. Reacts violently with strong oxidizing agents and mercury, resulting in the risk of fire or explosion. Reacts with nitrites and nitric acid, under certain conditions releasing nitrosamine, which is highly toxic. Attacks copper, zinc alloys, aluminum, zinc-plated surfaces, and plastic. This is a strong base, reacts violently with and acids, and shows corrosivity. |
May form explosive substances when in contact with mercury. Decomposes on combustion, releasing toxic gases. Reacts violently with acids, and corrodes copper, zinc, copper and zinc alloys, and aluminum. Reacts with strong acids, chlorine, and nitrites. Attacks plastic, rubber, and covering materials. |
Decomposes on combustion, releasing nitrous oxide, which is a toxic gas. This is a strong base, reacts violently with acids, and corrodes aluminum, copper and zinc. Reacts violently with oxidizing agents, numerous other compounds, and mercury, forming compounds that are sensitive to shock. Reacts with nitrites and nitric acid, under certain conditions releasing nitrosamine, which is highly toxic. |

Hazard | High-pressure, liquefied gas that is inflammable |
Harmfulness | Intensely irritating on contact with skin or mucosa, and may cause chemical injuries. Repeated exposure results in symptoms including central nervous system paralysis, headache, anemia, increased blood pressure, and agitation. If high-concentration gas (vapor if 40%) is inhaled, it may cause pulmonary edema. |
