NIKANOL
“NIKANOL” is the trade name for xylene resins manufactured by Fudow Company Limited. NIKANOL is divided into two broad categories: straight types, consisting solely of xylene resins; and modified types, in which straight types have been chemically reacted with one or more third components.
The straight types are oligomers, with molecular structures including oxygen and a meta-xylene skeleton, and with a wide range of reactive molecular skeletons at the termini. The modified types offer xylene resin characteristics that are not found with phenols or other third components alone.
Modifiable properties:
Viscosity adjustment with various resin types; compatibilization; and increased initial adhesive strength, adhesiveness; water resistance, humidity resistance, alkali resistance, acid resistance, and gasoline resistance
